L'Italo-Americano PAGE  24 Original San Gennaro Feast Brings Italian Food and Music to San Diego SAN DIEGO, CALIF. – April 24, 2013 -The original San Gennaro Feast is bringing an Italian food and musical festival to San Diego, May 30-June 2, 2013, at the Qualcomm Stadium South East parking lot. The festival's producer, Anthony Palmisano, is a third generation Royal Festivals man who has produced the popular San Gennaro Feasts in Las Vegas for more than 34 years. Qualcomm Stadium is located at 9449 Friars Road, San Diego, CA 92108. Palmisano's San Gennaro Feast from Las Vegas will make its San Diego debut with a mega-family event featuring homemade Italian food being cooked on the spot, more than 70 food restaurant and booths, fabulous free non-stop live entertainment from opening to close every day, over 150 arts and crafts booths, and more than 60 amusement rides and games. This four-day "Love Affair with Italy" outdoor street fair honors the patron saint of Naples, Italy. It is food and fun for everyone including locals and out-of-town visitors! The San Gennaro Feast will feature more than 70 food vendors and Beer and Wine gardens. Some of the traditional Italian fare will include: Italian Sausage Peppers and Sautéed Onions, Fried Calamari, Linguine and Clams, Shrimp Scampi, Baked Clams, Stuffed Artichokes, Pizza, Ravioli, Italian Fried Dough, Philly Cheesesteak Sandwiches, Braciole, Cannoli, Tiramisù, Funnel Cake, Pasta, Pasta and more Pasta. To complement the food, there will be a "Taste of Great Entertainment" nightly with a lineup of elite Las Vegas entertainers and headliners, hosted by Las Vegas entertainment director and performer Tony Sacca, who has been part of San Gennaro feasts for more than 25 years. In the amusement area there are thrilling rides including the new 100-foot high The Vertigo, a games midway, and specialty vendors. To ride endlessly, you pay one price (POP): $25 Thursday and Friday and $30 Friday-Sunday for unlimited rides every day. On opening night, May 30, moms will ride free. Event hours are Thursday 4 p.m. – 11 p.m.; Friday 4 p.m. to midnight; Saturday 11 a.m. – midnight; and Sunday 11 a.m. – 11 p.m. Parking is only $5.
