LOS ANGELES - The animation movie "Gladiatori di Roma 3D" (Gladiators of Rome 3D), produced and directed by Igino Straffi, has been selected to open the 8th edition of the Los Angeles Italia – Film, Fashion tion film has earned about $3,500,000.00 (tre milioni e mezzo di euro). The English version of the movie will be distributed in the US in Paramount theatres. This is the most recent success Iginio Straffi with one of his "creatures", one of the Winx fairies and Arts Fest, on Sunday, February 17 at TCL Chinese of Hollywood. For his achievements, Straffi will be awarded this year with the "Excellence Award", which he will receive during the Los Angeles, Italia, right before the Oscar night. The Los Angeles Italia Film Fest will also award Italian actor and director Michele Placido, Italian musician Zucchero "Sugar" Fornaciari, and director of the documentary on the Italian ONLUS Emergency, Kief Davidson. At the end of 2012, Straffi was awarded in Italy, at the Capri, Hollywood Film Fest, as "Producer of the Year". Born in 1965, Straffi has been working in the animation field for years, training both in France and Luxemburg.
