OGALLER 818.914.2051 ABRIZIO DI CICCO F : CT A CONTA Giorgio Orofino, the head of Stay and Visit Italy-Orofino Tours, said that the thing Americans love most about Italy is La Dolce Vita, or the sweet life. Stay and Visit Italy Tours offers many interesting Italian tours, and according to Mr. Orofino the most popular is the Amalfi Coast. The Orofino family is adept at providing accommodations and tours for those interested in expe- riencing and feeling the authentic Italian culture and indulging in Italy's sweet life. Mr. Orofino stressed that Stay and Visit Italy Tours provides not the typical, touristy destinations, but destina- tions known by the native-born Italian: the beautiful, interesting, and historical places. These tour destinations-perhaps an ancient Cathedral, a quaint pastry shop in Taormina, or a fantastic pizza restaurant in Naples are provided for guests at a reasonable price. Stay and Visit Italy Tours are arranged so guests stay in one hotel for the entire tour and return to that hotel each night after sight seeing, touring by boat, visiting a spa, or indulging in some other fascinating distraction. Mr. Orofino said that other tours can tire guests out because they spend much time packing and unpack- ing luggage and settling into new accommodations. Another highly unique fea- ture of Stay and Visit Italy is that the Orofino family owns the hotels provided for the guests. Mr. Orofino said this allows Stay and Visit Italy to keep the prices reasonable and provide guests with interesting, often lesser known, out of the way locales. Other travel tours in contrast, contract with hotels and the result can be much higher prices. "All others are brokers and charge 40% in commission between tour and travel agencies".Orofino hotels additionally provide guests with three meals a day. The comprehensive packages and reasonable prices are the result of years of experience in the travel and hospitality industry. This experience is the product of a family business. Mr. Orofino's father Francesco started Stay and Visit Italy with one hotel in 1975. Today Stay and Visit Italy Tours is one of the largest family-owned hotel/resort chains in Italy. Recently Giorgio and his two brothers Fabio and Luca, who also work in the family business welcomed Giorgio's son Francesco into the business. And during an interview from the North American headquarters in Florida, Mr. Orofino said that Stay and Visit Italy plans to soon Tour guests outside the Amalfi Cathedral Stay and Visit Italy with the Orofino Family! offer tours in other Mediterranean countries such as Spain and Greece.
