It does not stop there, as their dishes are paired with wines imported from Italy. From antipasto through dolce, guests will be given a truly Italian eating experience. The competing chefs will be Rutilio Duran of C���era una Volta in Alameda, Andrea Giuliani of Piazza d���Angelo in Mill Valley, and Carlo Cavallo of Meritage in Sonoma. Food will be paired with wines courtesy of Vinity Wine Company. Battaglia dei cuochi began last year as a collaborative effort among the Istituto Italiano di Cultura, an Italian government funded organization for promo- ty in north Beach since 1918; and FIERI an organization comprised of young professionals that celebrates Italian culture. now in its second year, the Battaglia dei Cuochi has added DIVE, a group of ex-patriot Italian women, which started less than a year ago and has already seen their numbers grow to over 300 members. Last year���s event attracted over 200 people, who cast their vote for the one chef they believed to have fared best in their food presentation. Each guest is given the opportunity to cast a single vote for their favorite chef. This year the event has added an ���Iron Chef��� approach by making all the chefs incorporate a common ingredient. ICS to host second annual Casino Night Italian Community Services, the premiere charitable organization in the Italian Community, will be holding their second annual Casino night on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. The non-profit fund raiser will benefit Italian Community Services��� John C. Riccio Educational Grant Program for the promotion of the Italian Language and Culture. The event will be held at the San Francisco Italian Athletic Club at 1630 Stockton Street in San Francisco. Tickets are only $75 each, and include gambling chips for participants to play games such as poker, craps, blackjack, roulette, and other casino games. Prizes will be awarded for the top chip earners, a silent auction and boutique shopping experience will be provided. The no host bar will also provide a selection of tasty treats.
