But what should one look for when buying an invest- ment property in a foreign country? Let's dive into this. L o c a t i o n , l o c a t i o n , location! Obviously, location plays a big part in having a suc- cessful holiday rental. Is the property in the vicinity of: Airports Public transport Town/amenities Sea Tourist hotspots Is the property located in an area that is easy to find? What are the surroundings like? Questions to tick off your checklist I s t h e r e a d e c e n t WIFI/Internet connection in the area? Is it easy to collect groceries or is it too remote? Make sure that the prop- erty is located in a safe area, especially if you choose a country property, and that the roads are in good condi- tion and driveable.
