I t i s a compound of altro, meaning " o t h e r " o r " a n o t h e r , " a n d ove, an archaic form of dove, m e a n i n g " w h e r e . " T h u s , a l t r o v e l i t e r a l l y m e a n s "another where" or "some- where else." A l t r o v e i s c o m m o n l y used to indicate a different place or location. It can be u s e d i n v a r i o u s c o n t e x t s , from everyday conversation to literature, to express the concept of being in or mov- ing to a place that is not the current one. For example, let's say you and your wife are looking for the car keys and you see her searching the kitchen drawer you already checked: that's when you say, Lì ho già guardato, meglio c e r c a r e a l t r o v e ! ( " I ' v e already checked there, better look somewhere else!"). In everyday conversations, you can say, Non sono qui, sono altrove ("I'm not here, I'm elsewhere"), while in a b o o k y o u m a y f i n d s o m e - thing like: Il protagonista desiderava fuggire dalla sua 1 (he) pulls 3 (feminine of) true; real 7 my, belonging to me 8 others 9 (we) fear 13 (you/tu) fight 15 hour; now 16 thoughts 17 egg Using the provided meanings as clues, search for the appropriate Italian word in the grid 1 (I) fear 2 wheels 4 east 5 air 6 shirt 10 (I) move 11 (you/tu) lift 12 given 14 (feminine plural of) your, belonging to you v i t a m o n o t o n a e c e r c a r e a v v e n t u r e a l t r o v e ( " T h e p r o t a g o n i s t w i s h e d t o escape his monotonous life and seek adventures else- where").
