L'Italo-Americano THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 14, 2013 www.italoamericano.com 19 Arcangelo Corelli – 300th Anniversary Concert of Composer's Death Violinist Victoria Martino and pianist James Lent will celebrate the 300th anniversary of Arcangelo Corelli's death with a spectacular concert, featuring sonatas by the great Italian Baroque composer and violinist, performed on original 18th cen- plary for Vivaldi, Bach, and Handel. Victoria Martino - a graduate of Harvard University and the University of California in art history, literature and music and her longtime musical partner James Lent have become interna- curated numerous international exhibitions, and has published over sixty catalogues and articles on artists and composers, including Wassily Kandinsky, Jackson Pollock, Mimmo Paladino, and Zoran Music, among many others. An art, music, dance and the- tionally known for their monographic anniversary performances of the complete works for violin by many composers including Bach, Handel, Mozart, Beethoven, Schumann, and Brahms, just to name a few. Victoria Martino has also presented a number of interdisciplinary programs in conjunction with exhibitions at many international institutions such as the Guggenheim Museums of New York, Bilbao, and Berlin, the National Art Gallery of Victoria (Australia), the National Art Gallery of Ontario (Canada), Museum of Western Art in Tokyo, the Albertina in Vienna, the J. Paul Getty Museum and MOCA Los Angeles. She has ater critic, she has been a regular contributor to THE Magazine and various journals in Europe. has taught music, art history, and innovative humanities courses at universities in Australia and the United States. Since 2004, she has presented a series of lectures and concerts on the relationship between music and art throughout history at the Athenaeum Music and Art Library in La Jolla, California.
