18 www.italoamericano.com L'Italo-Americano THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 14, 2013 Antonio Bandini presents Arte Toscana An exhibition of beautiful watercolors by Italian artist Antonio Bandini will open on November 1 at the Lyceum Theatre Gallery downtown in Horton Plaza. A Tuscan Italian by birth, Antonio has lived in the U.S. since 1979. Originally trained in art in Tuscany, his dreams have led him to embrace painting as a profession. Antonio's impressionistic work is global and timeless. His choice of color palette makes his work very accessible to a variety of A water color painting. Castellani Wines Showcased at Convivio Center Convivio Center, a gathering place where residents and visitors are invited to explore the art, culture and history of San Diego's Italian community, will welcome Luca Forte, Director of Castellani Wines USA to Convivio on Friday evening November 15th. Guests will be introduced to six Tuscan varietals during their wine tasting, an experience enhanced by a conversation with Mr. Forte, who will walk them through the cultivation process for each of Castellani's signature Tuscan varietals. Savory appetizers, prepared by Chef Giuseppe Monaco, Executive Chef of Cucina Caprese, will round out this distinctive culinary celebration. Hosted by Mission Wine Rosario Monetti Company, the Castellani wine tasting will precede a cabaret performance by Italian tenor Rosario Monetti. Rosario will take his audience on a sentimental journey through Italian and American musical classics ranging from Rat Pack tunes to Neapolitan melodies. Accompanied on the piano by Jim Bianchi and Dan Ochipinti on drums, Rosario delivers a fresh take on the songbook of our lives.
